Wonderfull site. I was wondering if there was any way of putting a map on here to show where all the member’s are? No need for any info on them ,just a (red) dote to show location.
It would be interesting to see how we grow world wide.
I always did like sticking pins in a map when I was a kid. Dennis already suggested a couple for me to look into. I’m taking the weekend off to hang with the wife and actually go soaring as well. Maybe next week when I get caught up I’ll see what I can do.
WHY HAVE A SECOND TASK ORIENTED SOARING PROGRAM? I THINK THE LSF PROGRAM IS GREAT AND CHALLENGING. YES YOU HAVE TO WIN IN LEVEL V AND COMPETE IN ALL THE OTHER LEVELS, BUT I WOULD THINK A LSF PILOT WOULD WANT TO DEMONSTRATE HIS SKILLS. SOARING IS NOT A HERMIT SPORT AND THE FRIENDSHIPS MAKE THE SPORT SO MUCH MORE INTERESTING.
Hank, not everyone has the desire/need to demonstrate their skills, except to themselves. I am doing both the LSF and the SSP. I do it because I want to. I fly with others as most do, but not all have the desire, resources or location to compete. They/we just fly for fun and self fullfillment.
Do the LSF if you choose, why rain on someone else’s parade?
Also, don’t capitalize everything, online that the same as shouting.
I’ve just learned about the SSP program and think it’s a really great idea. I’m new to flying RC sailplanes and have recently joined a RC sailplane club in AZ. I hope to eventually gain enough flying skill to participate in LSF competitions. The SSP seems like a practical means of learning these skills.

Great work Dennis, THANK YOU for helping Steve and I out of a jam!
Thanks Joe, you’re welcome.

Dennis will have to answer that one. He’s the site guru. It would have to be accessible by staff only.
